How do I share a Pērmatology review?

Do skincare products expire?

Like any other product, skincare does have a determined shelf life. The usage period of each Pērmatology product is indicated at the back of each product with the international Open Jar Icon. This icon refers to the Period After Opening (PAO), indicating how long the product can be used after it has been opened. Inside the Jar is written a number, followed by the letter “M”. For example, “24M” means that the product can be consumed for 24 months after it has been opened.

What does brightening mean?

The term Brightening is commonly used in Korean cosmetics, as well as Pērmatology products. Brightening is interchangeably used with the term Whitening. But while Whitening focuses more or lightening the skin, cosmetics labeled as Brightening aim at reducing the skin's hyperpigmentation. Brigthening products, like the Pērmatology Hydrafix Calming Sun Cream, help to even out skin tone, give the skin a glowy effect and enhance its radiance. Using Brightening formulas will leave your skin looking refreshed, rested and toned.

Can Pērmatology skincare be used on every skin type?

Yes, the Pērmatology skincare line care be used on every skin type, without exception. We are dedicated to making inclusive and universal skincare, that promotes slow-aging and aims at achieving long-lasting beauty. All our products have been formulated within our Skin Clinic in Seoul, Korea, by dermatologists and skincare experts with over 30 years experience. Pērmatology is also used as part of our skincare treemtents offered at our PITANGUI Skin Clinic.

Are Pērmatology products only for mature skins?

Not at all! The Pērmatology skincare line can be used by all age groups. While more mature skin may see more noticeable results in wrinkle and elasticity improvement, younger skin can benefit by preventing the early appearance of fine lines and moisture lose. This helps promote slow-aging and preserve a healthy skin. Starting to use anti-aging products in your 20s is an excellent way to take preventive measures and preserve a youthful complexion for longer.

How should I best take care of my mature skin?

As the skin matures, it naturally loses elasticity, moisture and collagen production, and the skin's cell regeneration process slows down. To counter dehydration and the formation of wrinkles, we recommend using hydratants, collagen-boosting formulas and ingredients that promote cell regeneration. At what age do I start anti-aging treatments?

The appearance of fine lines, loss of elasticity and a dull complexion are all signs of aging, typically caused by a decrease in collagen and elastin production. As we age, skin cells regenerate more slowly. Unfortunately this process usually starts in our early-20s. For this reason, incorporating anti-aging or slow-aging products in your skincare routine at this stage is an excellent way to delay the appearance of early signs of aging and maintain a bright, healthy skin.

How often should I use a sheet mask?

The Pērmatology Moisture Barrier Mask and the Pērmatology Ultra Repair Hydrating Mask have both been formulated to prevent moisture loss and lock active ingredients into the skin. While the Pērmatology Moisture Barrier Mask can be used everyday, like a regular mask, the Pērmatology Ultra Repair Hydrating Mask has been specifically formulated to provide long-lasting effects. This mask has been certified to provide moisture for up to 100 hours. Because of its intense hydration feature, we recommend to use this mask when your skin barrier has been stressed, damaged and, severely dehydrated.

Should I use sunscreen everyday?

Absolutely. Daily sun protection is essential for maintaining your skin's health and significantly reducing the risk of skin cancer. Sunscreen also helps prevent the appearance of again signs, such as fine lines, wrinkles and loss of elasticity. Applying sunscreen is a crucial step in any skincare routine. How do I know if this product is safe for me?

When trying a new skincare product or active ingredient, it is natural to be concerned with potential side effects or breakouts. Even though all Pērmatology products have been dermatologically tested and proven non-irritant, because all skins are different in their complexion and tolerance, we recommend to perform a patch test. To do so, you can simply apply a small amount of the product to the side of your neck or a small part of your cheek. After allowing the product to fully absorb, wait 24 hours to check for any undesirable reactions, such as redness, irritation or discomfort.

Should I be worried if pimples or breakouts appear after using a Pērmatology product?

Not at all! Pērmatology products are formulated to accelerate skin cell regeneration, which can sometimes lead to temporary breakouts. This is due to the product speeding up the skin's natural renewal process, causing underlying pimples that were already forming to surface more rapidly. The regeneration cycle is sped up, and dead skin cells are eliminated more quickly, allowing blemishes to appear sooner than they might have. Pērmatology products have all been dermatologically tested and proven to be non-comedogenic, so that they do not directly cause breakouts.

What exactly is PDRN?

PDRN – Polydeoxyribonucleotide – is a powerful cell-regenerating agent extracted from salmon testis. While PDRN naturally occurs in our DNA to support celle regeneration, its production decreases as we age. Salmon DNA is 98% similar to human DNA, which is why PDRN derived from salmon DNA is highly effective in regenerating skin cells, stimulating collagen production and accelerating skin tissue healing. All Pērmatology products are formulated with PDRN. Specifically, the Pērmatology EXO-PDRN Recovery Ampoule Program, is a bio ampoule treatment that combines a highly purified freeze-dried powder containing 50.8% PDRN, 8 types of hyaluronic acids, and Tripeptide-5. This ampoule program is particularly effective for soothing the skin, providing intense hydration, and restoring the skin barrier.

How long before I start to see results?

The time it takes to see results can vary depending on each individual and the specific products you are using in your skincare routine. Consistency also plays a key role in achieving visible effects. However, many customers who have used Pērmatology have noticed visible results within 5 to 10 days. Additionally, it is important to ensure that the active ingredients in your routine are compatible with one another to maximize their effectiveness and avoid blemishes.
